Cu 와 W금속간에는 상호간 固溶度(고용도, Solid Solubility)가 없어, 액상소결법 (Liquid Phase Sintering)으로 합금제조가 어려워, 보통 溶浸法(용침법, Infiltration Methods)을 이용해 Cu-W Alloy를 제조한다.

 
  There are no mutual Solid Solubility between Cu and W metals. It is very difficult to manufacture Cu-W Alloys by Liquid Phase Sintering.
Generally they are manufactured by using Infiltration Methods as-follows;

Fig1에서 보는 것처럼 W compact 위에 Cu metal을 올려놓고 H2 분위기에서 ~1400℃ 온도로 가열하면 Cu Metal 이 용융되어 W합분체 공간으로 스며들어 Cu-W Alloy가 제조된다.

 
 

As shows Fig1. If W Compact and Cu metals are heated about 1400℃ temp at H2 atm. Cu Metals are melteed and smeared to the porous of the W Compact.
